AquaHacking Challenge (Western Canada)
Freshwater across Western Canada needs innovative tech solutions to help restore its health. Winning teams access up to $58,000 in total funding awards, a spot in an incubator, and the opportunity to launch their start-up.
Who Should Apply
Post-secondary or recent graduates aged 18-35 years old.
Maximum Amount: This Challenge allows young innovators to launch their start-up with a sustainable mandate. It is a pre-incubator and a stepping-stone for future entrepreneurs in the water sector.

Project Assistance: Professional Music
The program supports both organizations and professional independent artists and has two categories:
Development and Creation supports the initial stages of the creative process including research, creation and project development.
Production and Realization supports latter stages of project development, production, remounts, post-production and presentation and those projects intended for presentation.

Professional performing arts and culture organization based in B.C. and registered and in good standing as a non-profit society or community service co-op in B.C. for at least one year.

Launch Online Grant Program
The Launch Online Grant program provides funding to B.C.-based business to create an online shop and/or improve their e-commerce experience to attract new local customers and expand to new markets.

Kelowna Organization Development Grants
This program aims to provide assistance to non-profit sport, event, social service and cultural organizations for the purpose of undertaking activities or initiatives which develop the organization’s capacity and sustainability.

Kelowna-based, established, non-profit society or a registered charity with a sport, event, social service or cultural mandate.
Maximum Amount: Funding can be used to cover 100% of the consulting or tuition/registration costs, to a maximum of $5,000.

Community Gaming Grants
Community Gaming Grants funding enhances community life through supporting programs that: provide opportunities for enrichment through participation in sport and the arts, enhance and protect our local environment, improve quality of life for community members; and, enhance and support the safety of our communities.

Venture Internship Program
Internships for post-secondary students across Canada. Dynamic, aspirational young people find their way to the Venture for Canada community. We select the ones with the character traits Canadian startups and SMEs say they need and we train them to stick a landing.
- 75% subsidy
- Each funding round can cover up to 20 weeks of employment
- Employers can participate in multiple semesters, and even hire the same eligible student for up to two consecutive semesters
