How to turn impact data into stories for funders and participants

As a social impact organization, you’ve collected impact data. The harder part is turning it into stories that funders, partners, donors, and communities actually understand.

In this interactive online workshop, you’ll learn how to use storytelling as a strategic tool to make your impact clear, credible, and compelling to your audience.

Using a clear narrative framework, you’ll practice turning your theory of change (if you have one), your qualitative insights, and your metrics / impact data into compelling stories that connect head and heart.

The focus is on clarity, credibility, and alignment, so your stories reinforce your impact strategy rather than diluting it.

You’ll work through real examples, apply the framework to your own organization, and leave with practical tools you can use across fundraising, communications, and internal alignment.

Format: 60-minute workshop + 30 minutes Q&A / networking (online)

You’ll leave with:

  • A practical Impact Story Framework you can use to turn theory of change and lived experience into clear, audience-ready stories
  • Guidance on how to integrate qualitative stories and quantitative impact data without overwhelming or oversimplifying
  • Greater clarity on how to create stories that build trust, demonstrate credibility, and support alignment across your organization

This two-part workshop series connects impact measurement and storytelling. Part 1 focuses on how to communicate your impact clearly, while Part 2 focuses on how to measure impact in ways that actually support learning, decision-making, and growth.
