What if the biggest barrier to scaling your nonprofit’s impact isn’t funding – but your approach to financing?
Join Purppl and Thrive Impact Fund for a thought-provoking panel discussion and Q&A on how social finance tools – like loans and community bonds– can be leveraged by nonprofits to increase not only their impact but also their sustainability.
Learn from panelist Lindsay Harris, Executive Director of Propolis Cooperative Housing Society, as she shares how Propolis is using a $270,000 bridge loan from Thrive Impact Fund and a $1.1 million community bond to finance affordable, net-zero cooperative housing in Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc (Kamloops, BC).
She’ll be joined by Kent Fawcett, Food Hub Director for Kamloops Food Policy Council social enterprise, The Stir, which provides facility rentals, business mentorship and support to help local food entrepreneurs reach a wider market than they would otherwise be able to break into.
Purppl’s Managing Director Andrew Greer will moderate the panel, joined by Aaron McRann, CEO of Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen.
Nonprofit leaders, join us as we tackle common misgivings about debt financing and spark meaningful discussions about using debt financing as a tool for growth.
